Hey Tom

Yes, spent the past few days burning over at Loren's house and cut 5 new packing plants and a Ice House...National Orange was one of them.  I suspect I will have them laid out at the show this weekend.  Loren took some shots of the mock ups and I will post them.

Have a great Thanksgiving.

Probably not these since they are huge for Z Scale and cut out of Acrylic, but the National Orange Packing House is in development.  If you are interested in one of my Beta units let me know and I'll cut one up for you.  I am working on the third part of the building right now.  The footprint for these units together is 16" x 7" .  I've been researching that whole section of Riverside for an article in the book.

If I can wrestle the USB cord from my son I'll post some shots of the work in progress.

Hey Joe, please define " huge for Z Scale " since Z like most other scales have undersized buildings.I weould really like to find some scale sized buildings.

Huge when talking about the normal Z kits.  My National Orange Packing has a foot print of 8x17...the Ice houses are bigger.  The wharehouses that will form scenic flats are 18" long and 12" high.  In a 6 foot stretch I was able to fill the center line using 8 buidings with narrow alleys between them for the most part.  I think small structures in Z are ok, but I would rather fill a module with an industry then random landscaping.

My biggest complaint in any scale is the usual size of the kits.To me they are all to small for the most part. I've always thought that an industry should look large enough to warrent rail service.
