I see that Micro-Trains got the history back-asswards on these units.  PC then PRR.  Don't they ever learn?

That's a pretty darned good price, although I just scored a pair of GP35s on eBay for $175. I'm going to be using the mechanisms to power other things, so I wasn't about to pay list or near list.

Yeah, I saw that. So... how is it the guy on eBay could sell 'em for $87.50 each? Did they fall off a truck somewhere?

Well, some companies don't let employee's have a full discount.  Looks like the 4Nscale sale price is 40% off meaning they are selling them at dealer cost.  $87.50 could have been distributor pricing, but this is MTL and they don't have distributors in that sense AFAIK.

Maybe they are selling them at a loss to get out from under so many unsold Z Scale items? Maybe that will hook some hapless newbies into spending their hard earned jack on track, structures, rolling stock, and details? Hope so! :D

Well what got me started in Z scale (well almost) is a statement I made to MR buddies that if I could get one of the GP35s for a $100.00 bucks I would get into Z scale. ;D I'm just waiting for uncle to send out that little ole $600.00 check so I can buy some new toys.
