I was in Tommy Gilbert's in Gettysburg on Thursday and he had a LL Conrail blue C424.  Don't remember the price.

If I know Tommy, it was list price, perhaps modestly discounted (5% maybe).  I always liked shopping for detail parts there... he always had a great selection.  But rolling stock and locomotives tended a bit to the pricey side.
I bet if you look in that revolving jewel case there are still locomotives in there from the early 80's...

Okay, I got back from Nebraska last night to find my shipment had arrived.

All was there, except instead of the centerflow hopper not being in stock, the coal hopper was out of stock.  So I got the covered hopper.  Cool!  The GP38-2 is absolutely beautiful!

I also got a MT CR gon at House of Trains in Omaha with a railroad tie load.

The best part of my house-hunting trip to Nebraska was that I am going to be renting a house with a BIG BASEMENT!!!  The basement's semi-finished, and the owners don't mind if I spruce it up further.

More room for more Conrail!!!

Conrail coal hoppers are best purchased by the case load anyway...
Now admit it, you'll be sneaking the lid off of the layout just for one night of photos, right?
