welcome Christophe! I'd love to see more pcis of your layout, and perhaps a post on how you model such different types of railroading in the saem physical space.

Hello All,

Just joined today.  I retired from the Navy in September after serving for 20 years.  I now have time to get back to work on my layout that has been sitting untouched for about 3 years now.  When I get time this weekend I will post a few pictures of the layout.  I'm a fan of the eastern railroads (NYC, CR, NS and CSX).  One of the members of the Atlas board suggested I check out Rail Wire so here I'm.

New guy here with a small N scale layout. I'm busy re-doing some parts of the layout in c55 (oh joy!)
I model modern day UP and have a short line that I'm trying to model after the McCloud River RR.

Just found this site today from a link over on trainboard on weathering NS Bethgons. Looks like a wealth of good info. Just got back into this stuff since I was 14?? Now with a family requiring more of my time at home (from my other pursuits) I find my myself getting back in. Anyway the modern iron from Kato got me to settle in the N camp, and now obsessed with a highly detailed roster and shelf layout (in progress) I have a wealth of knowledge on digital imaging, (comes in handy for shooting this stuff) so more then happy to share.

Welcome aboard!  As you have probably notice, we take "A picture is worth a thousand words" seriously - although we've all been knon to add the thousand words just for clarity!  I'f you've got good images to share, start a thread.

I'm Josh. My Dad and I have modeled N Scale since we started in the hobby many years ago. We have a 5x6 layout in our basement which loosely models the Conrail Boston Line (more commonly known as the Boston & Albany or B&A) in and around our hometown of Westborough, MA. There is no specific era, but we do tend to run a lot of Conrail power. The track is being converted from Atlas Code 80 to Kato Unitrack because the temperature fluctuation that occurs in a New England basement has caused severe warping. I also enjoy railfanning, NASCAR, and console gaming among other things.

Thank you Ed. I must admit that I have been lurking on this board for a while, and finally decided to join. Everyone here has shown great talent in their respective areas. Conrail ranks high on my list of favorite railroads and it's great to see Conrail strongly represented by you and other members.
