Bryan here. I started getting back into model railroading, and into N, about 3 years ago. Since, I've moved back and forth across country twice, and am still living out of boxes, hoping for a final return to plant roots. Sooo... no layout, not even a workbench at present, just planning a number of projects I hope to one day, maybe fulfill, and buying too much to ready for that day. Favorite roads are the NWP, WP, SP and, a recent new-comer, the SP&S.

I always hated it when they spelled my name wrong in the thought bubbles at the meetings...

How about "Hi! My name is Candy. I like body surfing and world peace. My measurements are..."? (You gotta say it, or at least think it, in the right voice.)

I've been around for a LOOOONG time, back to when this was hosted by Dustin Talley. It's got to be close to 5 years now...

Anyway, I've been into train stuff since before I was born. My first NTRAK open house what when I was -4 months or so. My father has been an NTRAKER for longer than my 25 years, and so growing up I caught the bug from him.

It's just been downhill since then...

Where are the rest of the "newbies" to The Railwire?? Ed and Tom  have been here as moderators even longer than I have!

There are more than a few really accomplished modelers that participate here, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. There's always room for humor on The Railwire.

Things haven't always been "peaches and cream", though. Looks like we've got a little argument going between Brian and Bryan as to the correct way to spell their name!!  ;D ;D ;D

I can sympathize as my name is Gregg, not Greg... ;)

Hi, I'm an old guy, or so my kids tell me. I've been on railwire for a number of years, keeping my armchair warm. Someone lured me here from the Atlas forum - can't remember who ... I was in N scale in the Pre-Cambrian age (after that I got busy with college, then marriage, and the ensuing chaos), and have been actively plotting my return for the past 8 years or so (ever since I finally bought a house). Since I quit the Rockville Society of Model Engineers as a teen, I've been pretty much a "lone wolf" modeler. My kids and the fixer upper (yeah the self-same house) take up a lot of my time, that and a ridiculous commute and a salaried job (translates into uncompensated OT) have limited my progress. Also to my discredit I have other hobbies (guitar and cars). But, I do have a modest train room I built (ie small) and should have the benchwork complete this fall. I have another modeling project that Robb should be bugging me about, I expect to have the first set done before the year end holidays if not sooner.

Hello, I've been here since the Tally days too.  I don't post often, although I do visit regularly.  Now that I've started my layout, I'll be posting my progress and projects I'll be starting.  It is a great group of people, and I have been inspired to move from a freelanced layout to prototype based layout, including abandoning my huge pile of code 80 N scale track for Atlas code 55.  I like modelers showing their work and challenging the rest of us to improve our own skills.

I've been here for a year or so..  My posts tend to come in bursts, when my interest falls back to railroading from all my other hobbies :)

lately it's halloween, of course and my animated ghosty thing..




Or, if there's a good opportunity to photoshop something, I'm all over it.   ;D
