A buddy of mine, his Mother had one in high school. Her name was Virginia, so we called the car "The Virge-mobile"  :D

Looks like a nice load for the Micro-Trains open auto racks to me. Seem to recall seeing many, many, Fairmonts riding on or in them.

I had an 81 Futura 2 door that I swapped an entire 1985 Mustang GT drivetrain into and later shoehorned a 460ci (bored and stroked to 472ci) into it.
The car never realized it's full potential as I never got a decent posi rear axle into it, but man would it smoke that one tire!

I am sorry to admit I had one of these as my very first automobile. It was a blue, 2 door that was purchased from the little ol' lady across the street. I swear the car had literally never accelerated past 25mph, so the first three months I owned it I would hammer the accelerator to remind the car it had more then two forward gears!

Wow, just the thought, an open autorack full of Gremlins or even better, Pacers. What would scream disco 70's better?   ;D
